Position : Group Manager - Business Development TopUsed

Key Performance Areas: (Not Totally Inclusive)

  • Manages used vehicle flows, buy-backs and residual values.
  • Responsible for providing information to company in respect of used vehicle stocks, sold vehicles with buy-backs and used vehicle requirements.
  • Ensure a reduction of standing time and protection of price level due to optimum used vehicle allocation.
  • Responsible for setting up a used vehicle dealing platform.
  • Establishes future markets for used vehicles.
  • Manages the company used vehicle as profitable business.
  • Offers a support to the company Centres to ensure used vehicle centres are standardized in terms of customer orientation, pricing and provisions.

      Core behavioural competencies:

  • Reliable, performance orientated and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well and maintain good customer relations under extreme conditions.
  • Must be able to make decisions and work independently though being a team player.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, produce results and meet deadlines.
  • Must have strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – demonstrated self confidence.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to convince customers – appropriate assertiveness and selling skills.

 Skills Required:

  • Relevant commercial qualification – minimum of a university degree or equivalent, a pre-requisite.
  • Proven track record in business/commercial environment at a senior level a pre-requisite.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the commercial vehicle business and the associated sales environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
  • Ability to negotiate and converse at Senior Management level
  • Ability to present information professionally at top levels within importer and company organisations.
  • Knowledge, skills and attributes which enable cross cultural communication.

R60 000 + Car allowance of R10 400 but it also depends on qualification and experience. This position is entitled to a Management Bonus.

  • Procurement or cost accounting background.
  • Excellent communication skills – demonstrated self confidence.
  • Computer literate – Embrace and MS Office.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
